# Brainless Tale – v3 Update Log  

*(January 2025 – current build)*

### Major Changes

- Restored classic original dialogue flow (wake up → Brainless intro → name spam → STOP → sorry → help question)

- Completely rebuilt branching system – **no more random endings**

- Now features **proper multi-layered choice trees** (4–6 meaningful decisions)

- 12+ distinct endings based on your actual choices

- Fixed all progression bugs (choices now reliably lead to next step / correct ending)

- Empty name input properly rejected ("That's not a name you know…") → returns to input

### New & Improved Endings (non-exhaustive list)

- **Abandoned** – Refuse to help  

- **Partners** – Help + Trust  

- **One Mind** – Merge thoughts  

- **The Price** – Sacrifice yourself  

- **Solo** – Escape alone  

- **True Friends** – Full kindness + trust path  

- **Clever** – Solve the riddle correctly  

- **Trapped** – Fail riddle / stay put  

- **Victor** – Win the fight  

- **Defeated** – Lose the fight  

- **Secret Harmony** – Kindness unlocks hidden peaceful path  

- **Lost Forever** – Wandering alone fails  

- **Legendary** – Perfect/good path (all major positive choices)  

- **Weird Freedom** – Chaotic/mixed choices  

### Visual & Technical Polish

- Bigger dialogue box (fits 3–4 options comfortably)

- Classic Undertale-style B&W look kept

- Only `>` pointer for selection (no distracting green highlights)

- Typing sound + fanfares play correctly (once per ending)

- Ending screens now always show properly

- Better mobile/touch support (click to advance)

### Current Known Status

- All main paths tested and working as intended

- Multiple secret/niche endings still discoverable

- Still very short (~2–4 minutes per playthrough)
